Product Description

Lecol 5500 Parquet Flooring Adhesive is solvent-based and can be used for all types of wood. It is suitable for installation on absorbent and non-absorbent sub-floors meaning that it can be universally applied. In many cases it can even be used to install pre-finished parquet without any problems. Underfloor heating
Lecol 5500 can be used with underfloor heating. Before laying, the heater should have been in service for at least ten days. Turn heating off 2 days before laying or lower thermostat in winter. Switch heating back on again at low setting 3 days after laying.

PLEASE NOTE: This product comes in a trade tin that may be vulnerable to dents during transportation by our courier. If your tin is dented during transit, in most cases it will be only superficial damage to the tin leaving the product itself still fully sealed and usable.

Application

Stir well before using
Ensure temperature of room is more than 15°C
Apply adhesive evenly using serrated trowel to an area no bigger than 1M²
Set parquet into position without delay. The underside of the parquet must have complete contact with adhesive
In normal conditions the floor can be sanded after 16-24 hours, however if subfloor is non-absorbent, or on mastic asphalt subfloors, wait 3 days before sanding
Consumption per m2: Approx. 0.9 kg

Thanks very much for your review, Alan! We should say that Lecol don't recommend using their adhesive where bitumen is present, so we can't endorse it being used like this. We would advise that all bitumen is completely removed from the blocks before installation.
